Email Configuration
Common questions about SendGrid setup, domains, and senders.
Why Can't I Add Domains or Senders?
Domains and senders cannot be added until a valid SendGrid API key has been saved in Outreach Settings. Ask your Org Admin to configure the API key first. See Email Configuration.
What Is the Difference Between a Verified Domain and a Verified Sender?
A verified domain authenticates all emails sent from addresses on that domain through DNS records (CNAME). Once a domain is verified, any sender email using that domain is automatically verified when added. A verified sender is an individual email address verified either automatically (if the domain is verified) or manually via a confirmation email. See Domains and Senders for the full setup guide.
My Domain Verification Is Stuck on "Pending"
Domain verification depends on DNS record propagation, which can take up to 48 hours. Check that the CNAME records shown in the verification wizard have been added to your DNS provider. Verification can be retried at any time from the three-dot menu next to the domain in Settings. See Domains and Senders.
Why Is My Sender Email Showing as "Pending"?
If the sender's domain is not verified, a verification email is sent to the address and someone has to select the link in it. Check the inbox, and the spam folder, of the address that was added. See Domains and Senders.
